Whether you're a farmer, rancher, agribusiness professional or just interested in the industry, mark your calendars and plan to attend one (or more!) of these must-see events.

The below list and details are correct at the time of publication, but as we have learnt from the past few years things can change very quickly. If you think we have missed an event or need to update our details let us know!

January

Western Canadian Crop Production Show

When: 14th to 16th January 2025

Where: WTC at Prairieland, Saskatoon, SK

About: The Western Canadian Crop Production Show has been the "must-attend" event for prairie farmers since 1983, establishing itself as a true leader in the field of crop science and technology. This flagship event not only celebrates past successes but also anticipates a future where agriculture and technology converge to drive innovation and prosperity even higher.

 

Manitoba Ag Days

When: 21st to 23rd January 2025

Where: The Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba

About: The Manitoba AgDays event features displays of farming knowledge, technology, and tools, drawing in participants and attendees from all over Canada and the North Central United States.

 

The Guelph Organic Conference

When: 22nd  to 25th January 2025

Where: University of Guelph, Ontario

About: The Guelph Organic Conference aims to support organic farming and related subjects by offering workshops and discussions, displaying products at a trade show, and linking people, businesses, and groups in the organic industry.

 

Pacific Agriculture Show

When: 23rd to 25th January 2025

Where: Abbotsford, B.C.

About: The Pacific Agriculture Show features new farming equipment and technology. Join farmers to check out over 300 exhibitors' products for better efficiency.

 

Island Agriculture Show

When: 31st January and 1st  February 2025

Where: Cowichan Exhibition Park, B.C.

About: The Islands Agriculture Show is a two-day event for farmers of all sizes, focusing on crops and livestock, business strategies, water use, and adapting to climate changes. It's organized by the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food in partnership with the Islands Agriculture Show Society.

 

February

Farming Smarter Conference & Trade Show

When: 12th and 13th   February 2025

Where: Lethbridge, Alberta

About: Southern Alberta's farming community has a chance exchange knowledge, and network. Additionally, you can hear experts talk about Farming Smarter's latest research. The Farming Smarter Conference & Trade Show features top minds and innovators for two days of interactive talks and discussions.

 

CropConnect Conference

When: 13th and 14th February 2025

Where: Victoria Inn and Convention Centre, Winnipeg

About: CropConnect is a two-day event with speakers, crop information, a tradeshow, and a banquet. It's Manitoba's top crop event since 2013, attracting farmers, suppliers, and growers to learn about new technologies, environmental issues, agronomy, and farm management.

 

Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention

When: 19th and 20th February 2025

Where: Niagara Falls, Canada

About: The Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) is a yearly 2-day event for fruit and vegetable growers. It brings together people from different areas of the horticultural industry, like government, businesses, and experts, from all over Canada. The convention has top experts, learning sessions, trade show displays, and chances to meet others in the field.

 

AG-EXPO & NORTH AMERICAN SEED FAIR

When: 26th to 28th February 2025

Where: Lethbridge and District Exhibition, Lethbridge, AB

About: Ag Expo, located in Canada's top food area, showcases the agriculture sector by combining modern technology with traditional farming values. It offers an engaging look at the heart of Southern Alberta's farming culture.

 

March

Canadian Crops Convention

When: 4th to 6th March 2025

Where: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

About: The 2025 Canadian Crops Convention, co-hosted by the Canola Council of Canada and Canada Grains Council, will happen from March 4-6 at the JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District. Registration starts in the fall.

 

Western Canadian Dairy Seminar (WCDS)

When: 4th to 7th March 2025

Where: Red Deer, Alberta

About: The 42nd Western Canadian Dairy Seminar is happening over three and a half days. Attendees will learn about the latest research and technology, and talk with experts about the industry's challenges. There are two receptions, a banquet, and lots of space for networking in the 79 booth trade show area.

 

London Farm Show

When: 5th to 7th March 2025

Where: London, Ontario

About: The London Farm Show is a key event in Ontario's history, attracting people to socialize and learn about new farming equipment and innovations. The 2024 show features top-quality exhibitors, big brands, and new technologies, including last year's agribotics exhibit, showcasing the show's evolution. It focuses on agricultural technology, education, and farm improvement, with about 15,000 visitors seeing over 320 exhibitors and hundreds of products/services, including hands-on equipment demos, to get ready for the Ontario farming season.

 

Ottawa Valley Farm Show

When: 11th to 12th March 2025

Where: Centre EY Centre, Ottawa

About: The Ottawa Valley Farm Show will happen from March 11-13, 2025, at the EY Centre in Ottawa. It's organized by the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association, which is happy to be the host of Eastern Ontario's biggest agricultural trade show. This event will showcase new agricultural technology, equipment, and information from exhibitors, and attract farm community visitors eager to improve their agricultural businesses.

 

Canada's Farm Show

When: 18th to 20th March 2025

Where: Regina, South Saskatchewan

About: March 2025 will mark a first in 46 years for the Canada's Farm Show Regina, SK. This event will provide farmers, exhibitors, and partners with valuable resources to get ready for planting and the growing season. Attendees will enjoy hands-on learning, a large tradeshow, and entertainment, all designed to motivate the farming community as they get back to work.

 

Royal Manitoba Winter Fair

When: 31st to 5th April 2025

Where: Brandon, Canada

About: The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair takes place every year during Manitoba's March spring break. It's a major attraction for tourists in Western Canada, ranking as one of the biggest agricultural shows and the biggest event in Brandon, Manitoba.

Canadian Dairy Expo

When: 2nd and 3rd April 2025

Where: Stratford, Ontario

About: The Canadian Dairy XPO is the biggest dairy event in Canada, attracting over 350 international companies. It offers the latest in dairy technology, education, genetics, and hospitality to help dairy farmers and their families.

 

SIAL Canada

When: 29th to 1st May 2025

Where: Enercare, Toronto

About: SIAL Canada is a key hub for the Canadian food industry, connecting it with the U.S. and global markets. It's the only event in Canada attracting over 1,100 exhibitors from 44 countries and 21,000 attendees from Canada, the U.S., and 77 others. It's unique because it showcases all types of food products, catering to retail, food service, and processing sectors.

AGRI Tech Venture Forum

When: 6th and 7th May 2025

Where: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Toronto

About: The AGRI Tech Venture Forum happens every year and brings together leaders from around the world in agriculture technology. It's a place where big companies, investors, and innovators share their thoughts on current issues, important achievements, and the biggest problems in the future of agriculture technology.

Ag in Motion

When: 15th to 17th July 2025

Where: Range Road, Saskatchewan

About: Ag in Motion is the biggest farm expo in Western Canada, showcasing new farming tech and gear. It's at Discovery Farm Langham, 15 minutes from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ag in Motion unites farmers, industry leaders, and experts from Canada and globally to enjoy farming. With over 500 exhibitors and over 100 acres for trade shows, Ag in Motion offers plenty to explore and participate in.

Rainy River Valley Agricultural Fall Fair

When: 15th to 17th August 2025

Where: Emo Fair Grounds, Emo, ON

About: The Emo Fair is a three-day event at the Emo Fairgrounds. It's a big celebration with lots of fun and community involvement. This year, it's going to be even more exciting and special. Make sure to plan ahead and join in on all the great events and activities we've prepared!

Canada's Outdoor Farm Show

When: 9th to 11th September 2025

Where: Oxford Road, Woodstock

About: Every September, the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show turns Discovery Farm Woodstock, Ontario into a massive display area of farm equipment, crops, and livestock. This event attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over Canada and beyond. It showcases everything from large tractors to innovative farming techniques. Over 40,000 people and more than 700 exhibitors look forward to this year's show, which features the latest in farm technology in action.

 

World Dairy Expo

When: 30th September to 3rd October 2025

Where: Alliant Energy Center, Wisconsin

About: The World Dairy Expo's top-notch Trade Show lets farmers check out the newest dairy tech and equipment. It's a gathering of global dairy experts, including top researchers and sales reps, in Madison. The event also hosts a prestigious dairy cattle show, showcasing top American cattle, known for its unique colored shavings and beautiful Showring display.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

When: 7th to 16th November 2025

Where: Exhibition Place, Toronto

About: The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, held in Toronto every November, offers a wide range of activities and high-quality local food and animal shows for both visitors and exhibitors. It's the biggest indoor farming fair and equestrian competition globally, showcasing the achievements of Canadian and international breeders, growers, and exhibitors.

 

Farm Fair International

When: 5th to 8th November 2025

Where: Edmonton EXPO Centre, NW, Edmonton, AB

About: Farmfair International, held in Edmonton every November for 50 years, is Canada's top agricultural show and Alberta's biggest beef cattle event. It attracts exhibitors from western Canada, showcasing their best livestock to breeders, local ranchers, and international buyers.

 

Agri-Trade Equipment Expo

When: TBC

Where: Westerner Park, Red Deer, AB

About: Agri-Trade, a three-day event in November, showcases top agriculture equipment, technology, services, and products. It draws over 30,000 qualified buyers and 550 equipment manufacturers and services to Red Deer every year. This event is the first after harvest and the start of the planning season for producers.

 

Canadian Western Agribition 

When: 24th - 29th November 2025

Where: Regina, Saskatchewan

About: A top-rated event known for its excellence in beef and being the biggest livestock show in Canada. The show focuses on beef cattle but also includes a wide variety of livestock and a large trade show for agriculture. CWA lasts for six days and offers a mix of farming, Indigenous culture, learning, shopping, and live shows, creating a deep and engaging experience. It also features the prestigious Maple Leaf Finals Pro Rodeo, with four nights of exciting shows!
