If you're looking to add a large number of Chemicals to Inventory, take advantage of our bulk import process. Follow this guide for all the template and formatting details you'll need.
Bulk imports are not available on Standard subscriptions.
A minimum of 30 Chemicals is needed for an import.
If you need assistance with a smaller number of items, please contact us.
The import can take up to two weeks to be completed once spreadsheet has been shared to Safe Ag Systems.

To help us import your Chemical Inventory data, we’ll need some details about each item.
The fields are broken down into:
Each item must include the required fields. Optional fields can be used to provide additional information, when needed.
Once complete, please email us on help@safeagsystems.com
Make sure the email includes:
- your business name,
- the completed spreadsheet, and
- the primary contact person for any questions regarding the template, as well as for follow-up once the import is complete.
Required Fields
Name
The manufacturer's name or the name it's known as within the business.
Example: Soda Ash
Category
A way to group chemicals.
Example: Pest and/or Disease Control for Animals
This is a pre-set dropdown list in the template and can't be changed.

Current Quantity
The amount of chemical on hand.
Enter this as a number, it can be up to two decimal points, for example: 1.05, 2.5, 3.75

Unit of Measurement
Please select which measurement you use for this chemical.

Optional Fields
Feel free to skip any of the fields listed below. Choose to fill them out as you like and only for the items you want.
Trade Name
The brand name of the chemical. This field could be used if the ‘Name’ provided earlier is different to the brand one.
Example: Redox Soda Ash Dense
Chemical Group
A way to group chemicals beyond the ‘Category’ option.
Example: Detergent
Manufacturer
The chemical manufacturer.
Example: Redox
Active Constituent
The key chemical ingredient. This would be on the chemical container, bottle or label, or on the SDS in Section 3.
Example: Sodium Carbonate
Poison Schedule
Mark the poison level for the chemical. The SDS will show this.
Example: S5 Caution
This is a pre-set dropdown list in the template and can't be changed.

SDS Review Date
The next date to review the SDS.

SDS Review Reminder
The system can send a reminder 30 days before the review date.
To enable a reminder, put Y in the spreadsheet, otherwise, leave it blank.

Withholding Period
This can be found on the label and on the SDS.
Example: Nil
Safety Instructions and PPE
This can be found in Section 8 of the SDS.
Example: Causes serious eye irritation. Wash skin thoroughly after handling. Wear eye protection/face protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth, then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical advice/attention. If vomiting occurs, give further water. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing until recovered. If respiratory symptoms persist, get medical advice/attention.

Example: Firefighting: Non-combustible; Material does not burn. Handling: Safety showers and eyewash facilities should be provided within the immediate work area for emergency use. Storage: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight.
